Terms of Service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and shedyool. They cover this website, the shedyool Events, shedyool Access Control, and shedyool Operations apps, and the organizer dashboard — together, the “service”. By using the service you accept them. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or sell tickets. You are responsible for your account, for everything done under it, and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us promptly at support@shedyool.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
What we provide
We provide the software: event creation and ticketing, box office and access control, staffing and back-office tools, and the payment and payout plumbing that sits behind them. We are not the producer, promoter, or host of the events sold through the service, and we are not a party to the agreement between an organizer and an attendee, or between an organizer and the staff or talent they book.
Fees
The Entry Plan is free to start: no subscription and no fee until a ticket sells. On a paid ticket we add 3% of the ticket price plus $2.00 per ticket, and $0.50 per add-on, on top at checkout, paid by the buyer; the organizer keeps 100% of the ticket price. Optional subscription packages — Operations, Marketing, Communications, and Guest Radar — and one-time setup for 3D Venue Ticketing are billed separately.
Payment processing fees charged by Stripe are separate from our fees. The prices that apply to you are the ones presented at the time of purchase. We may change our pricing, and will give notice before a change affects an active subscription.
Payments and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe, and using the service to take payments means also accepting Stripe’s connected account terms. Standard payouts are issued the next day against a real-time ledger. We may delay, hold, or reverse a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, where a chargeback or refund is pending, or where the law or Stripe requires it.
Tickets, refunds, and chargebacks
The organizer sets the refund policy for their event, within the cascade the platform provides, and the policy that applies to an order is the one captured at checkout and shown in the order confirmation. Organizers are responsible for honouring it, for delivering the event as advertised, and for handling cancellations and reschedules. Where we assemble chargeback evidence on an organizer’s behalf, the outcome is decided by the card networks, not by us.
Your responsibilities
- Describe your events accurately, and hold the rights and permits you need to run them.
- Comply with the law, including tax, consumer protection, ticketing, and data protection rules.
- Handle attendee and staff data you receive through the service lawfully and only for the purposes it was given.
- Pay the people you book what you agreed to pay them.
- Do not use the service to sell anything illegal, to defraud buyers, to infringe someone else’s rights, to launder money, to scrape or overload the platform, or to interfere with its security.
Intellectual property
The service, the software, and the shedyool name and marks belong to us. You keep everything you upload — your event pages, artwork, and copy — and you grant us the licence we need to host, display, and distribute it in order to run the service for you.
Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including Stripe for payments and Apple for app distribution. Their terms apply to their part of the experience, and we are not responsible for how they operate.
Availability
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features described as coming soon may change or may not ship. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, shedyool is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify shedyool against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your events, your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, creates risk for buyers or for us, or is required to be closed by law or by our payment partners. Obligations that by their nature survive termination — fees owed, indemnity, limitation of liability — survive it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless the mandatory law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will tell account holders by email when the change is significant. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
